05/10/2013: Southfork and Ice Hockey

The day started windy and cloudy and rainy. So I decided to defer walking to the Dallas Convention Center.

In the afternoon, I did a private tour of Southfork Ranch - used in the original and *reboot* Dallas TV shows. It was a great trip and brought back a lot of memories. I saw the original Lincoln Continental used by Jock Ewing in the original TV series. The *reboot* TV series films inside the house unlike the original TV series which did not because the owners lived there at the time.

In the evening, I took the DART to Victory Station to see my first ice hockey game between the Dallas Stars and the Washington Capitals. The warm-up was loud and exciting. There was lots of pumping up the crowd. Before the game, *Star Bangled Banner* was played over the Public Address system and everyone yelled *STARS* at the right time.

The *Ice Girls*, cheerleaders, *swept* the ice every time there was a break in the game.

After a very exciting and physical game, the Dallas Stars won 2 goals to one. VICTORY TO THE LOCALS !!!
